Replace Lock On Tool Box

Why are weekends so short?

(Question submitted by Annie)

is a matter of national security.

Weekends are synonyms of leave for most workers in this world. This is true for office workers, postal workers, dentists, teachers ... But ... this is also true for the military.

For it must allow soldiers to rest too. The problem is that if they sit too long, it becomes tempting for an invader.

Hence the principle of two days. Two days a week when the military is at rest it is not long enough to allow an invader to conquer a whole country. Especially during these two days it's not nice, as is often the case on weekends.

To convince you of all this, know that at one time, weekends lasted longer (possibly much more) than two days. It is between each other which allowed guys like Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun and Alexander the Great to conquer so many countries.
