course not. There are dozens and dozens of extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy (some of which are very nice).
But why then do we not have contact with them? Well aware that we had. Many sightings have been documented in the twentieth century, including the famous UFO crash in Roswell New Mexico in 1947.
The problem is that following these visits, the aliens have been, shall we say ... a tad disappointed. Calendars with pictures of cats, talk, instant coffee, the seen and, of course, Lara Fabian, in short, all that they were a little off taste to come and conquer.
Even since then, the aliens prefer outright avoid contact with us. So when their travel routes lead them to pass near Earth, they try to be as discreet as possible (among other things, they turn off all lights on their ships).
