What mean the expression "business casual"?

(Question submitted by Kri)

In some urban settlements and connected (bars, clubs, restaurants) is to avoid giving the impression that the site can be visited by countrymen. Something that is very easily understood elsewhere (a farmer, it kills atmosphere).

Thus, in these places, people must wear clothing associated with occupations or areas exclusive to large cities, hence the term "business casual".

example, are considered "business casual" clothes cardiac surgeon, the uniforms of professional baseball players or even the rags of beggars.

Conversely, it can occur in an establishment requiring "casual" dressed in a plaid shirt and a chain saw or even wearing a yellow raincoat and a halibut.
